I was self-employed as a sole practitioner attorney for over 40 years in our small city of approximately 2,500 people.   I did various types of work over the years but eventually was able to limit my work to primarily real estate and business transactions, estate planning, estate and trust administration,  and real estate litigation (adverse possession, easements, foreclosures). I retired at age 66 in 2019 and we found Green Valley as a place to spend winters.  Besides pickleball, my other interests include downhill skiing and biking. I am also a member of the GVR Woodworkers Club and recently joined the Elks.

During my career I was frequently asked to participate in various community and charitable organizations and especially when younger, I had a hard time saying no.  Examples of my involvement include: 1. Helping create and serving as 20+ year treasurer of high school scholarship foundation, 2. Helping create and serving on board and as director 15+ years of county animal humane society, 3. Hospital finance committee and  board of directors, 4. 20+ years Board of directors and secretary of county disabled adult  sheltered workshop, 5. 6 years (3 terms) elected to city council, 6. 10 years National Ski Patrol, 7. 3 years chairman of Parks, Arts and Trails Committee of the city council, 8. 40+ year member of St Croix Falls/Taylors Falls Rotary Club including term as president and on board.

I'm submitting this nomination because I am willing to become involved and believe that I may have some abilities or talents that can be used.  I have no particular agenda.  I believe I get along and work well with others.
