The GVR Pickleball Club Board of Director Nominations will begin on Monday, January 12 (updated from the original reported date of Feb 3rd), 2026. Nominations will be accepted through February 23, 2026.

2-Year Terms  (Positions available this election cycle per the Club By-Laws)

    1.  President – Term April 1, 2026-March 31, 2028  (current incumbent  – Jeff Washburn)

    2.  Secretary—Term April 1, 2026-March 31, 2028  (current incumbent – Maribeth Kwasneski)

    3.  Member at Large— Term April 1, 2026-March 31, 2028  (current incumbent  – Greg Wright)

 

1-Year Terms  (Open positions due to the resignations received 12/31/2025 from the incumbents (per Club By-Laws) to be eligible to be nominated for other open Board positions.)

    4.  Vice-President – Term April 1, 2026-March 31, 2027  (current incumbent – Janet Reynolds)

    5.  Member at Large – Term April 1, 2026-March 31, 2027 (current incumbent -Julianne Howell)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. You may nominate more than one member, including yourself, to serve on the Board, but you MUST BE SPECIFIC to which position you are nominating each member or it will NOT be a valid nomination.

  2. Each nomination must be in a separate email.

 

CRITERIA

  1. Nominee must be a GVR member and GVR Pickleball Club member in good standing.

  2. Nominations must be submitted via email (see email addresses below). Include the following:

    • Board Position being nominated for (must be specific, note the # of the available Board position.)

    • Contact information for the Nominee (email address, phone number and GVR #)

    • Brief bio of nominee. Suggestions include:

      • Motivation for the Nominee to serve on the Board of Directors

      • Nominee’s previous experiences, especially in other volunteer positions

      • Particular talents or qualifications of the Nominee

  3. Refer to the General Description of Duties for each Board of Director positions.

  4. Special Note:  Nominee does NOT have to reside in Green Valley fulltime.

 

SUBMISSION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF NOMINATION

  • All valid nominations will be acknowledged by email prior to February 23rd.

 

NOTE:  Nominations will not be accepted from the floor during the Annual Meeting in March.
